In 2 Chronicles 7 Solomon dedicates the first temple to the Lord. The principles in this account were made known to the nation of Israel and yet we can bring them to light in our nation and our own personal lives. This passage comes with covenant promises that are conditional. When we draw near to God in repentance he will forgive and heal our land and our lives.

The sourdough starter has been around for thousands of years. Archaeologists have found evidence of fermented dough as far back as 1500 B.C. in ancient Egypt.
It is a great way to preserve the dough making process.
It is great for gut health.
Baking bread also a way to enjoy a beneficial and relaxing activity.
I have had my sourdough starter for almost a year. Below is the recipe that I was given and use to make my own batches of delicious and nutritious bread.
Rustic Sourdough Bread
1 cup fed starter
1 1/2 c. lukewarm water
2 tsp. yeast
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. salt
5 cups flour of your choice ( you can mix an unbleached flour with a wheat flour for more nutrition)
Combine all and knead to a smooth ball. Let rise 90 minutes in oiled bowl. Divide into 2 loafs. Let rise in bread pans for 1 hour. Spray with water and slash design with bread knife. Bake at 425 degrees for 25 minutes.
For Starter: feed weekly
Combine 1/2 cup flour and 1/4 cup water. Stir and let rest for 24 hours. Use or refrigerate. If in fridge, take out and place on counter to bring to room temperature. Never put in a sealed container. Cover with a coffee filter or cheese cloth to let gases escape.

Isaiah was a major prophet in the Old Testament who was used by God to warn and hopefully steer the nation of Israel back to God. He warned them about their wicked ways and he brought a promise; if they would repent, then their sins would be washed away and they would be made clean. We have that same promise; repent and be made clean.
